You should e-mail to  info@hollytreetrust.org   setting out what it is you plan to do, giving details of who is going, what organizations/schools are involved. It would also be useful for the Trustees if you could give contact names or details which could be used to verify the request.

Once initial validation has taken place you will be sent a grant application form, and if  the application is accepted to be within the parameters of the Holly Tree Trust objective a grant offer will be given.

Scholarship Funding

There is no formal application process for scholarships. These occur when the Trustees identify a suitable institution of the necessary standard where there might be an opportunity to help. As this involves directly visiting the facilities and institution, it only occurs when the Trustees are themselves are in that country or a trusted representative/ambassador can undertake the visit. This is to avoid unnecessary trips and costs for the Holly Tree Trust.

Education Support

As with Scholarship Funding, there is no formal application for this aspect. Again the Trustees will only fund this activity if they or a trusted representative has actually visited and assessed the situation.  It can only therefore take place if the Trustee or representative is in that country for another reason, in order to save costs.

Please note – the awarding of all grants are at the discretion of the Trustees, and are directly linked to the scale of uncommitted funds available at that time. All efforts are taken to ensure fairness and equality in evaluation. However the decision of the Trustees is final and any attempts to influence in an unfair way a decision will lead to the immediate refusal/cancellation of an application.
